City of Wickes Parks Plan
PLAN*et's Leslie Dornfeld led a volunteer Community Planning Action Team organized by the American Planning Association. The team conducted a week-long charrette that produced an award-winning plan for Saginaw Michigan's Wickes Park, a long neglected resource adjacent to the Saginaw River and some of that city's most disadvantaged residents. As a result of the planning process, the neighborhood has mobilized around revitalizing the park and the City has started to reinvest. This project received an Award of Excellence from the American Planning Association Michigan Chapter.
